$35 early bird. Please register by June 16th.

Summer solstice marks the longest day of the year. Yang energy is at its peak as Summer beckons. Channel this new, elevated energy to consciously empower and manifest your intentions through the art and practice of Japa - the most ancient form of meditation via mantra repetition.

During this 90 min workshop, you will learn:

  • An introduction to Japa - origin story and spiritual significance

  • Difference between Japa and Vedic meditation disciplines

  • Mental, emotional and spiritual benefits of practicing Japa

  • Significance of Sanskrit Japa Mantras and understanding their mystical meanings

  • How to practice Japa mantra meditation to enhance specific fields of sensory awareness

  • How to pick your mantra and turn your mantra into a blueprint for life

  • Japa mantra modalities through sound, voice, thought and writing

  • How to use this practice to rise to higher vibrations and frequencies

  • How to overcome obstacles to sustain your Japa practice and continually deepen Sadhana

  • Q&A

We will conclude by practicing Japa Mantras that awaken and harmonize our Chakras as we celebrate the blessings of the Sun and welcome the divine rhythms of the Summer.

* Please bring your mala bead, if you have one, or you are welcome to purchase one at workshop from Priya.

Priya grew up in India wherein she had an early exposure to yoga and meditation. She learned meditation as a four year old from her father; Japa mantras from her grandmother when she was 10 years old and yoga at her middle school. To her, Yoga is not just on the mat, it's how we live off the mat too. Living in the States now and having graduated from Yoga Teacher Training at Light on Lotus, she is passionate about integrating and sharing traditional Indian yogic practices she learned growing up, with local communities that are equally passionate about yoga. Aside from her lineage, as a Sanskrit speaker, Priya enjoys sharing the significance of Sanskrit mantras and shlokas (verses) that yoga came from.
